Mariposa Piece Makers
October 2019

We will not have our regular meeting this month as we are taking a field trip to the Pacific International Quilt Festival on October 19th.

Please arrive at the Yarts Parking Lot behind Rite Aid between 6:30am and 6:45am as the bus is leaving promptly at 7:00am. Make sure you are in the Yarts Parking Lot and not the Rite Aid Parking Lot.

You will receive your show ticket when the bus arrives in Santa Clara, and we will be stopping at Casa De Fruita for dinner on the way home. You can purchase lunch at the show or bring your own lunch. We should return to Mariposa between 8:00pm and 8:30pm.

Please bring any charity quilts to the Yarts Parking Lot Oct. 19th to give to Helen. All charity quilts are due by the November meeting.

We are having a Quilt Show Planning Meeting on Tuesday, October 22nd at St. Joseph’s Church at 9:30am.  All committee heads should be present but anyone who is interested in helping with the planning in invited.

For our Quilt Show in May, we will have another mini-quilt challenge. This time the theme will be “Birds of a feather QUILT together.” Your mini-quilt can have anything to do with birds, bird feeders, bird houses, etc. and should be a finished square between 12” and 16”. Quilt Show viewers will vote on their favorites.
